The annual Sport Wales gold Ambassadors conference was held at the Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday 22/10/2014 attending this year as representatives from Blaenau Gwent were Kristie Jones (Brynmawr) Luke Rees (Brynmawr) Aled Davies (Ebbw Vale) and Ellis Evans (Abertillery)

The Ambassadors were able to attend the following workshops throughout the day….The role of the Young Ambassador, Physical Literacy and Disability Inclusion.

There was also chance to take part in question and answer sessions with distinguished guest such as... Sarah Powell (Chief Executive Officer Sport Wales) Ken Skeates ( Deputy Minister for Sport and Culture) Thinus Delport (South Africa and Worcester Warriors Full back) Rhys Jones (Paralympic Athlete) and Kate Grey(Paralympic Swimmer

Luke Rees this year in his role of Platinum Ambassador sat on the Welsh steering group and was part of the team that organised this year’s conference at Cardiff, Luke has also applied to be part of the UK steering group who meet 4 times a year at Wembley and organise national UK wide conferences and sporting activities.

Luke Rees addressed  over 100 Gold Ambassadors and dignitaries from all over Wales during the opening ceremony of this years Gold Ambassadors Conference in Cardiff.
