 Brynmawr Foundation School 5x60

The 5x60 programme aims to increase the number of secondary age pupils taking part in sport or physical activity for 60 minutes, at least five times a week.

The Sports Council report that 99% of Wales's mainstream secondary schools have signed up to the 5x60 scheme.

The scheme is the first of its kind to consult with pupils to find out what activities they would like to take part in. By offering pupils this choice, it increases the range of activities away from the traditional netball and rugby to more recreational activities such as Trampolining, Dance, Martial Arts and Dodgeball

Brynmawr Foundation has a number of 5x60 activities both at the school site and in the community the attached timetable gives details of the present activities taking place.
